Kilmessan dairy farmer Peter Reynolds completed a very long range double at the Ward Union Hunt Point-to-Point in Oldtown last Sunday when winning the members and subscribers race over one circuit of the track on the New Blackie.
Great excitement around the final race of the Ward Union Hunt Point to Point held at the Folly on Sunday 5/2/2017, where a number of the braver members and subscribers donned their racing colours and became jockeys to tackle a 1 lap race over the Point to Point fences on their non-thoroughbred horses.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Point to Point, it was a huge success. Lots of happy connections in the winners enclosure. The Underwriting Exchange Open 4yo+ was won by Oscar Barton a very popular winner owned by Stephen O’Connor.
The Ward Union Hunt takes its name from the hamlet and river called the Ward in the parish of Finglas in North Dublin and a roadside Hotel at the time called The Union.
Today’s pack is based in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath and is a member of the Hunting Association of Ireland in conjunction with the Irish Master of Foxhounds Association, the Irish Foot Harriers Association.
